(solved) Error: Open PDF with Acrobat Reader

Post by *chemli »

Hi,
When i want to open a PDF file by clicking on it on with the "Open with" menu. I got an Windows error :
"L'instruction à 0x000000007716E6D4 emploie l'adresse mémoire 0x00000000000000000. L'état de la mémoire ne peut être read".
I install again Acrobat Reader, but same error.
Thank's a lot for your answer.

Open Adobe Reader. Navigate to Edit menu / Preferences / Security Enhances. Disable the Protected mode.

Are you perhaps running TC with admin rights?
License #524 (1994)
Danish Total Commander Translator
TC 11.03 32+64bit on Win XP 32bit & Win 7, 8.1 & 10 (22H2) 64bit, 'Everything' 1.5.0.1371a
TC 3.50 on Android 6 & 13
Try: TC Extended Menus | TC Languagebar | TC Dark Help | PHSM-Calendar

No issues with opening pdf using TC 64-bit with admin rights.
Probably DISM and SFC should used to repair Windows.

Sorry for the delay, I was out...
I am on Windows 10, TC 9.51 64bit, and I use TC with admin rights.
With all other program every think is working well (windows explorer, ...).
I use TC from more than 20 years and it's the first time it happen, even when the last version 9.50a it was ok...

I had same problem (Windows 10 Pro x64, TC as admin and Adobe Reader DC as standard user) and solved it by this:
Open Adobe Reader. Navigate to Edit menu / Preferences / Security Enhances. Disable the Protected mode.
