"Rename" behavior when in virtual window <?

Post by *Jerez »

Hello,

This issue might have surfaced before.

1. Assume you are in "Virtual 2 window mode", in window " < " and files are sorted by size . Assume also "Full" setting from the "Show" menu .

2. Assume a subdirectory with a list of files that extends beyond the screen.

Select a file at the end of the list by scrolling down with the side bar. Select the file and hold so that the context menu appears. If you attempt to "Rename" the file, the file and rename box dissapear from the screen (of course the file is not deleted). Eventually, if you chose another file and try again, it is possible to rename the file. There is also an issue when you attempt to rename from the "File/Rename" menu, e.g. nothing happens.

I am using Windows 2003 in an HP_4700 unit..

Cordially,

Jerez

This is a known unsolved problem. What you can do is either activate the soft keyboard manually BEFORE enabling the rename edit box, or use the Copy/Move button and enter the new name there.
