Doubled search results with Everything

Hi
I have noticed that recently TC started to behave strange.
I have Everything 1.4.1.696 (x64) and with its option set in Search window I have results list showing same items twice:

Standard search does not have this issue:

I have no idea why it is happening but it is annoying.
Oh! And I am using TC 9.51 x32

I have Everything 1.4.1.696 (x64)
If that is not a typo - then it is a pretty old version (2016 or older!) - try and install the latest stable version: 1.4.1.992 <

Updated to 1.4.1.992 (x64) and no changes.
Everything itself shows files only once.

This normaly happens if folder indexing is configured in Everything
for NTFS volumes which are indexed by default.

Could you tell me which option it is?
Funny fact: I did not change my Everything configuration for at least few years and never notifed such behaviour until recently.

Options -> Indexes -> Folders
Have you tried
rebuilding 'Everything's database:
For NTFS volumes: Options -> Indexes -> Force Rebuild (button)
For FAT volumes: Options -> Indexes -> Folders -> "Rescan Now" or "Rescan All Now" (button)
FAT volumes can indexed as folders - for example E:\ for the entire E: volume

I don't think you can say that in general.
It depends on where the searched files/folders are located.
Quotation from
Search queries in TC using 'Everything' - Point 2.
Code: Select all
However, the search is only carried out in those drives/folders that have been defined accordingly in the 'Everything' settings,
i.e. under
Menu "Tools" - "Options..."
- Indexes: NTFS (Local volumes) - ☑ Include in database,... (Hard disks + USB drives: NTFS formatted)
- Indexes: Folders - ☑ Attempt to monitor changes, ◉ Update (e.g. network folders, USB drives[FAT32,...], etc.*))
- Indexes: NTFS https://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/everything_service/
- Indexes: Folders https://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/folder_indexing/
*) etc. means in this case: Drives that are not NTFS formatted.

You can use Options -> Indexes -> Folder for FAT formatted drives, which are not indexed by default.
