Inkove external tool for compare content

Hi,
is possible invoke external tool for Compare by Content? I like to use Beyond Compare, because they understand code syntax and show not important changes with another color.

Yes. You have to edit your INI file for TC (usually wincmd.ini). Open it via menu "Configuration" --> "Change settings files directly". [*]

Add (or change, if already present in the INI file) the setting "Comparetool" in the [Configuration] section.

Details about this setting can be found in TC's help (section "Configuration and Switches" --> "Ini File Settings").

Comparetool= Set external compare tool for "Compare by contents", e.g. WinMerge

[*] This menu item opens both the wincmd.ini and wcx_ftp.ini in Notepad. Just close the Notepad with wcx_ftp.ini, as it is of no relevance here...

Once you have done what elgonzo writes, you open the external Compare tool with TC's command cm_CompareFilesByContent and you can open TC's Internal Compare By Content with cm_IntCompareFilesByContent
