Synchronize direcories: why is the list reloaded if you want to search for a different filename.extension?

Hello, why is the file list reloaded in the "Synchronize direcories" dialog if you want to restrict the search to a different filename.extension? Isn't that possible without repeated, tedious director access?

This is not a bug report, this is a feature request, which should be made in the
TC suggestions (English) section...

It's reloaded because the given wildcards may be broader than before, or find different files e.g. *.jpg -> *.docx
It would indeed be an optimization to apply the filters to the current list if the new filters are 100% included in the previous filters, e.g. *.* -> *.jpg *.gif -> *.jpg
