Tabs set selection by list box

Post by *MortenZdk »

It is convenient to have different tabs for different kind of work. Currently it is possible to save and load tabs to a file through the tabs right click menu.

Suggestion: Allow selection of tabs through a list box. The selected tabs could then be named by the file that the tabs are stored in, so the list box is effectively just a tabs file selector. Current tabs should then be auto saved to the tabs current file before changing to a new tabs file. The list box could be placed above the tabs, to the right of current drive information. A short key to the tabs list would make change of tabs easy and fast.

Currently you can only save all tabs to a file (1 side/2 sides). To achieve what you want, you can save all into a backup.tab and then chose tabs you want to keep closing unwanted and saving to final tab file.
If you are a programmer, you could do the listbox stuff with some script language just using the current backup.tab or reading ini files.

To switch to dedicated saved tab, you can use directory hotlist calling the wanted function...

Make a button as drop-down menu which contains the load commands for your tab-files.
