Multi-rename tool: file list didn't use my set font ?

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Multi-rename tool: file list didn't use my set font ?

Post by *Garrett »

I choice font for dialog as Courier New 14, Bold.
In window "Multi-rename tool" labels and button caption has my font, but files list no bold. And visually font for files list smaller than 14.
Please correct this bug. Or made that file list in this windows let's use font for list of files in panels.
Thanks.

The font size works normally here, even with larger sizes. Although I'm not sure I think the font style is intentional because the items will use bold when a file couldn't be renamed, i.e. it doesn't make any sense to use bold for the MRT's file list (until there's said renaming error).

It's a bad idea to use Bold as error.
Because I can select some font with ExtraBold (e.g. "Jetbrains Mono" + ExtraBold), and TC switch ExtraBold to Bold when error, but difference between ExtraBold and Bold is very small.
Better to use a colored background to highlight errors.

Well, it's been like this for as long as I can remember. You're free to make suggestions in the forum's Suggestions section viewforum.php?f=14. Note that everything suggested takes time to implement (if Ghisler decides to do so).
