Audio plays twice when TCPlayer is used

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Audio plays twice when TCPlayer is used

Post by *waclaw66 »

Audio file is played with native audio player in own lister window when TCPlayer plugin is not installed.
Playing audio file with TCPlayer lister plugin causes playback in background (probably from invisible default player) and sencondary playback from TCPlayer itself.

Which plugin do you mean?

Yes, that one. I've downloaded it from github, seems clean according virustotal.

I have tried the plugin now: The problem is that the function to play a track returns 0, so TC assumes that it failed and plays the file internally.
Solution: Open Lister with Alt+Shift+F3 in text mode, then go to menu Options - Configure - Player and choose "Old Video for Windows Player".

This works because TCPlayer shuts down the old player when Lister tries to start it.
