Android 12: Pop-up dialog covering the text when renaming files

I'm having a problem that's driving me nuts... When trying to edit filenames and marking a selection of the text, the pop-up dialog with cut/copy/paste commands covers the text so it's impossible to move the text selection bars, or even seeing the text. Maybe it's related to using Android 12, since I haven't seen this before switching phone.

Edit: I see it happening with Amaze file manager also. Not with Google file manager though...

It's a bug of some phones - the problem is that there is no function to set the position of this popup, it's positioned by Android itself, not by the app.
Try tapping behind it to get rid of it.

Ouch... :( I hope you as a developer can push for this bug to get more attention. Similar things are happening in other apps, but not as extreme as here.

Do you have any idea where this bug could be filed, or at least some suggestions on what to search for? I've spent more than thirty minutes to no avail, searching on the issue tracker that i got to through https://source.android.com/setup/contribute/report-bugs#bug-queues

No, I can't even prevent it from appearing. :(
