Lister (Viewer) Standalone (exe)

Post by *doublecmd »

Hi, i was wondering if possible to have an up-to-date standalone exe of Lister aka Viewer as 64-bit version.
I find it very, very useful since i used for more than 15 years as standard as it came bundled within Windows/Total Commander.

Well i switched from Total Commander to Double Commander and the new Double Commander has an horrible, terrible Viewer.
I use as addon the TC-Lister latest standalone FREE version i could find and is dated 2007/32-bit. It really helps a lot, Thanks Mr. Ghisler !

Now since i was also dependent of Windows/Total Commander Compare/Difference tool, and since i find Double Commander compare tool horrible.
And since there is no alternative from Ghisler like a free standalone Compare/Difference tool, i had to find an alternative like here

https://truehumandesign.se/s_diffinity.php
and so far this is the best free compare/difference tool i ever find, well it's small 2.7 MB since it uses the windows 10 integrated .net framework.

BTW here is my Total Commander clone

build it myself from the github repo https://github.com/doublecmd/doublecmd
of course i had to change/remove some things in the code to make it more attractive and useful !

Last and not last, with it's wonderful functions and of course like any program bugs/crashes/many gb of data lost/famous shareware popup.. i would like to say many thanks Mr. Ghisler for those wonderful over 15 top years of Windows/Total Commander experience !
I finally replaced/deleted in exchange with Double Commander !
ps. it took me a while do settle and adjust with the new DC, but i did it !

You can start Lister directly via command line, the file association would be:
c:\totalcmd\totalcmd.exe /S=L "%1"
or
c:\totalcmd\totalcmd64.exe /S=L "%1"

yeah i had a better option.
i only use this now.

i replaced TC/lister with DC/viewer, and most important i replaced TC/compare with Diffinity !
so honestly TC is/has been deleted completely and i replaced for good with DC !

and what's only left from TC is only the folder name Totalcmd since i had all the programs in it, and change folder name into doublecmd is a PITA !

have fun. bye

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
