Thank you very much, how do you write a custom type?
For example, pic means all image types?

do you mean let me create a pic?

cd >pic|*\ not work
Re: How to display only ZIP files and hide folders?
I see, you want to filter dirs using a defined file type or in combination with defined file type. Regretfully, I think that's not possible. See: Request for Saved Search in Show Custom Crtl+12 to Display Only Files
You may want to add your support for such feature.

This plugin might be of interest: QuickSearch eXtended Version 2.2.7
Simply type .zip into the active window of TC and everything else (folders, irrelevant files) will be hidden.
Favourites can also be created, e.g.
Use the favourites as follows:
- TYPE IN >p in the active TC window -> for pictures
- TYPE IN >1 in the active TC window -> to NOT display pictures ("!.jpg"), etc. (the listed file types)
Before typing in you could use the shortcut CTRL + S to open the input field of QuickSearch eXtended too (but this is not necessary).
CTRL + SHIFT + S opens the input field and brings your last search parameters, then you can add/adapt your search parameters.
[Option: CTRL+B Directory branch: Show contents of current dir and all subdirs in one list]

2tuska Thanks, maybe this is the only way out now.
Re: How to display only ZIP files and hide folders?
If you need really easy solution just press CTRL+F12 and enter extensions for image files which you want to see, e.g.
*.bmp *.gif *.jpeg *.jpg *.png (and so on)
Note that TC does not contains out of the box ready to use sets "picture" "movies" or any other.
You can prepare such a set yourself and save for later use.
Note that for some people "IMG" means image that is picture, while for the others "IMG" is rather disk image, so no picture.
