TC10.50b2x32: Extra drive space - H and V values selected by default

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC10.50b2x32: Extra drive space - H and V values selected by default

Post by *yong »

Run TC 10.50b2 32-bit, open the configuration dialog and click icons, the values of the H and V drop down boxes are selected by default.

Partially confirm - i get only "Horizontal" selected.
Are you using custom LNG file?
Switch to internal English and try again.

Ahem...
In my TC 10.50b1+b2 x32 in dark+light mode (@Win10x64) the "Extra drive space:" and the input fields do not show up at all.

Where exactly is this located in the icons config?

(I was already confused before, but after seeing your screenshot I know I don't have it.)

Hi,
For me these fields are selected
  1. Extra space: Horizontal:
  2. Extra drive space: H
  3. Extra drive space: V
in TC 10.50b2 x86.

I informed Mr. Ghisler today by email and received the information that this problem will be solved.
This problem already existed in TC 10.00 and was also solved by him at that time.

Well, I have "Extra space:" but I do not have "Extra drive space:" (as shown in the image in the first post https://ibb.co/mtgTDCJ).

The fields for "Extra drive space:" are located above the "Help" button under Icons.

You can try making the font smaller...
The space on the right is probably too small.

Maybe this option will help you:
Configuration ... Font
[x] Automatically adjust dialog boxes to larger fonts

What???

No. I have tried Arial/Tahoma/Gill Sans/Segoe UI/... in different sizes down to 6.
It doesn't show up.

Maybe a clash with some other option that prevents the display of the "Extra drive space:"?

I'm sorry, but I'm certainly not the right person to talk to you about this setting issue,
because I spent a lot of time back then trying to find the right settings for me.

I am sure that someone will be able to help you soon.

Can you see the "Extra drive space" if you start TC wit a clean ini file? Start for example TC with the start parameter /i=test.ini
