[TC10.50b3] Help The drive selection box: pressing with the mouse

Post by *white »

Help The drive selection box wrote:By pressing the down arrow with the mouse (or pressing ALT+F1/ALT+F2), a list box opens with the available drives.
No list box is opened on my computer. Instead the next file is selected in the file panel.

Besides that, I find it very awkward to use the mouse to press the down arrow. It's much easier when I use my finger..

Please check in Configuration - Options - Misc. whether the Alt+F1 hotkey has been redefined to something else. It's also possible that it has been reassigned system-wide, e.g. via an AutoHotkey script or similar.

You don't get the joke ;) It's about the word "pressing" in the help text. It should be "clicking" :)

Sorry, I'm not a native English speaker (most users here aren't). Don't you say "press a button"?

Yes, you can certainly say "By pressing the down arrow button on your keyboard using your mouse..", but if you do what it says, that's very awkward and doesn't have the desired result.

You can click with the mouse or press a mouse button, but to press with a mouse is not normally done ;)
