Problem - Thumbnails view - MOV (and any video) files

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

But you DID configure your Icaros, right?
Yes, but MOV files are part of the K-Lite (Icaros) Thumbnails configuration.

But some people don't change configuration for thumbnails at all.
And you don't try to be more helpful and tell what you have changed.

There is no sophisticated config for the Thumbnail part.
I only enabled a few more Audio formats.

I conducted a dialogue with the developer of K-Lite CodecPack and jointly found out what was wrong. The error appears due to the fact that in the settings of TC are set different values in width and height of thumbnails (e.g. 128x96).
I changed the resolution to 384x384 and it was great! The error has disappeared. It was necessary to set any equal height and width values (square).
The developer of K-Lite CodecPack promised to fix IcarosThumbnailProvider.dll in subsequent versions.

That's great, thanks for your help! Maybe I should change the default thumbnail size to a square size?

I don't know what others do but I have always configured sqare sizes.
As reported never had a crash or problem with K-Lite and Icaros in TC or other tools :D

For other users, you can make the default thumbnail size square. Or you can just add to help section as a known issue.
