How to assign Home to jump to the very top of the folder?

Post by *Xaenor »

Hello!

Right now, the hotkey to jump to '..' is set to Ctrl + Home for me. How do I change it to just Home? At the moment, Home takes me to the first item in the folder, i.e., the very first folder or file under '..'

Well, by default HOME jumps to [..] - so at some time in the past you must have reasigned the HOME key.

Go to "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Misc" - and click on the button with a down-arrow to the right of "Hotkey".
Then a menu will open with your keyboard remappings. Look for HOME -> cm_GoToFirstEntry.
If you find that, click on it to bring it to the "Command" field.
Now click on the button with the red X to delete the remapping of HOME. See: https://madsenworld.dk./tcmd/homekey.png

@petermad, thank you! It was, indeed, as easy as setting the Home button to its default value - I didn't realise that I changed it in the past. This feels so much better!
