The first part under "Allows you to protect the password with a master password." describes adding the protection.
I think then starting with something like "If you want to remove the protection with master password," is rather important. The option can only be grayed out when it is enabled.

Perhaps add in front of it:
Removing the protection with master password:

Maybe I should just change

No, that's not clear at all in my opinion.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. The text clearly talks about removing the protection. Why say it twice?

Help for TC 10.51rc3 wrote:Change password
This button is shown when the password is protected with a master password, and the master password hasn't been entered yet. Click on this button and then Abort to make it possible to uncheck the option to use the master password.

Use master password to protect the password
Allows you to protect the password with a master password. This is useful because you have to remember just one password, and your passwords are protected with the strong AES256 encryption. Make sure to use a long enough master password containing both upper-, lowercase characters, numbers and punctuation. The estimated strength of the used password is also shown. Please note that this doesn't check for any existing words - if you use an existing word from a dictionary, the strength is MUCH lower!
The option is grayed out when you haven't yet entered the previouly set master password. Then there are 3 ways in which you can still remove the protection with the master password:
1. Click the "Change password" button and enter the master password. The checkbox will no longer be grayed out, so you can change it.
2. Click the "Change password" button and then click Abort. The checkbox will no longer be grayed out, but if you uncheck it, you will have to enter the password for the connection. If you click OK without entering the password, your password will be lost.
3. Click OK or Cancel to close the dialog, then click the Encrypt button in the main FTP Connect dialog and then click the Remove Encryption button.
Help updated as promised :-)

I think it is more clear if you state at the beginning what the text is about rather then let the user deduce it from the text.

My suggestion was also to not add text under "Change password", but to add a better explanation under "Use master password to protect the password". Not at both places.

This is the current text now:
Change password
This button is shown when the password is protected with a master password, and the master password hasn't been entered yet. Click on this button and then Abort to make it possible to uncheck the option to use the master password.

(Note that there is a spelling error in "previouly" in the current text.)
And this was my suggestion:

Tested using TC10.51rc4. No changes as a result of my last post. Spelling error isn't fixed either.

I think that the "Removing the protection with master password:" part is redundant. In my variant, it tells the user that the option under which this explanation stands can be grayed out in some cases, and why this can be. Then it tells the user how he can still uncheck it.

But I will fix the typo, I missed that, sorry.
