Hi team,
Experienced this bug for some time now. Hoped it'll get fixed sooner or later, but it's still there as of 10.51.

Windows 10 21H2, TC 10.51 (also encountered in previous versions)

Steps to reproduce:
  • Create a folder (e.g. "test")
  • Go into the folder and create a file (e.g. "1.txt")
  • Cut the file with Ctrl+X then paste it to a different location
  • Try deleting the original folder (either using F8 or Shif+Del). The following message appears: "The following folder could not be deleted - test\ Try again?"
Restarting TC makes the issue to go away. Another curious detail is that just before the "folder could not be deleted" message TC warns about the folder not being empty, even though the file has been moved out of the folder. There are no hidden files in there, and there should not be, as we have just created the folder. The issue doesn't seem to occur at all if moving the file was done through F6.

Not confirmed either. Maybe you are using quick search extended? There was a recent bugfix for exactly this problem (users couldn't delete directories).
