Works fine here, what doesn't work for you when using cm_GoToRoot ?

Same problem, the separate tree is not updated correctly.

It seems that in the separate tree the root is selected and quickly after that the previous folder is selected and marked opened.

It seems to depends on the location of the focus: If the right panel is active it works fine, otherwise I get what you describe. Can you confirm that?

If works fine if you use the \ button of the inactive panel (right or left), otherwise not.

It seems to be somewhat unpredictable which folder is highlighted in the separate tree when the the [\] button is hit and synchronized navigation is enabled - see: https://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/septreesyncnavigation.mp4

I can confirm it also happens with 2 different folders left and right on the same drive.

I cannot reproduce what happens in your video at 1:03 minutes (same folder left and right, click \ button in inactive panel and fail)

Apparently petermad cannot confirm that.

I made the video for a certain time, but then stopped, because I cannot see any pattern in which folder is highlighted in the tree when clicking [\] - especially when in a folder that is more than one folder below the root.

history.txt wrote:09.10.22 Fixed: cm_SyncChangeDir, clicking on "\" or using cm_GoToRoot showed wrong folder in single separate tree (32/64)
I cannot fully confirm the fix - TC goes to the correct folder in the tree now, when clicking the [\] buton, but only if I click the button in the same side as the last directory change was made in - if I click the opposite [\] button - the marked folder in the tree stays the same.

Confirmed for some folders but not all.
Confirmed for "c:\Program Files", "c:\Program Files (x86)" and "c:\users".
Not confirmed for "c:\windows" and other folders on drive c: and all folders on my drive d:

Peculiar - I just it tested again, and now it works OK, with the same folders I tested before.

I don't save my history, and this new test was after a restart, with a clean history. Maybe my prior test was into a long TC session hence with a long history.

I will continue testing randomly into TC sessions

It works here with all mentioned folders. I tried with the opposite \ button both with the cursor in the left and the right panel. Please let me know if you find a reliable way to reproduce it.

For me, doing this always fails for the mentioned folders (and subfolders within):
c:\Program Files\
c:\Program Files (x86)\
c:\Users\

(both for 32-bit and 64-bit)

Unfortunately I failed to reproduce it even after many tries. I will have to move this thread to "will not be changed" if I can't reproduce it, sorry.
