Incorrect behavior of SAVETABS command ?

Post by *chandragor »

I searched around for this in the forum and I have found nothing about it.
Please forgive me if I missed similar posts.

Whenever you save tabs with any of the SAVETABS flavor and one of the tab is Locked, then the base directory is saved, even if the tab is marked as "Locked, but directory changes allowed" and you are inside another directory.

I guess that this is on purpose, but shouldn't this latter directory be saved instead ? Maybe as an additional info for the tab ?

No, the dir changes are temporary for the current session and the base dir has to be saved in the tab list.

That's what it looks like. But I would like it was a "snapshot" of the current tabs situation.
Oh, well......

Maybe I could ask Mr. Ghisler to implement it as a feature in the next version :D
