Logged on.
First app "fired" was TC 10.52

Anything "strange" what comes to my mind is that in meanwhile additional display was activating

More details please, f.ex.:
- did you had used network connections the last time you used TC?
- or another device not accessible at start time.
- do you use 64-bit TC, or 32-bit?
- First app "fired" >>> how was that done?

Setup a process dump to get more info for Christian if possible (a dump is not always generated).

According to the stack trace, it happens in a handler of WM_DPICHANGE. TC tries to reload the menu, e.g. to adjust the icons in the menu to the new size. But the menu seems to be NULL. Do you use any tool to hide the main menu?

Christian,
According to the stack trace, it happens in a handler of WM_DPICHANGE.
I'd guess this note from lotharmatheos (the OP) about what was happening during TC startup (when the access violation occured) is relevant:
Anything "strange" what comes to my mind is that in meanwhile additional display was activating

It could be a timing problem, that TC receives WM_DPICHANGE before it has created its main menu or so. Difficult to say without a way to reproduce it.

This should be fixed in TC 11 beta, please test it. TC checks now whether the menu is valid when receiving WM_DPICHANGE.
