Feature request: disable SSL check per connection

Post by *MrHoek »

This love TC and the fact SSL/secure FTP connections are build IN.

Regarding those, is it possible to ignore the SSL certificate checks (expired warning etc) for specific connections?

We need to upload to servers, which sometimes have:
- self-signed certificates
- long time expires certificates

Now we get a warning/question when connecting AND during file uploads (many warnings during uploading).

Can an option be added (in the FTP-connection connection registration) to disable these checks?

You can click on the connection icon (padlock) and choose "Always trust this certificate". Total Commander will warn you again when the certificate hash changes. This way even self-signed certificates will work and provide some security to detect redirects and man in the middle attacks.
