[TC 10.52] Zero-byte RAR-file crashes TC

Post by *Fortemezzo »

I didn't notice my RAR-file was 0 bytes. Opening it crashed TC. To reproduce: create an empty file ("zero.rar"). Open it either with "enter" or "ctrl pagedown".

Not confirmed. Can you try with a clean wincmd.ini ?

Not confirmed.
With Enter there comes "Errror in packed file..."
Ctrl-Pagedown does noting with an empty RAR file.
Tested with my normal ini file (Including WinRAR) and a fresh ini file.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69
QAP 11.6.3.2 x64

Tested it on another computer and there I got the "Total Commander has stopped working" popup (I have that disabled on my main laptop). The problem is in zstd.wcx64 (https://franke.ms/packer/zstd.wiki). When I renamed that extension the problem was gone. So not a Total Commander problem. Thanks for helping!

Zstd is nice though!
