No, I don't consider it as a bug, hardly even as a missing feature - and I did not percieve your post as a bug report since it was no in the TC10.x bug reports (English) section.

That doesn't matter. If the search doesn't work on both panels it can't work on selections made in both panels. Put another way: searching in both panels is the prerequisite for searching within the selection of both panels.
