Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
Total commander 10.52 - I use Dropbox.
In Total Commander in Dropbox folders or subfolders, trying to CTRL+C Total Commander freezes for 15 seconds and then crashes. There is this error in the event log:

Re: ctrl+c in Dropbox folder
Hmm, no such problem here.
If I press Ctrl+C on a file or folder in Dropbox opened in the Cloud file system plugin, the file/folder gets selected, that's all.

Hi and welcome. Thanks for the report.
Have you tried to reboot your system via command line "shutdown -r -t 300" and test again?

Stefan2,

Dopa,
Please try the instructions here - Right click menu (context menu) crash. Right-click menu crash and Ctrl-C crash have the same reason and the same solution.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Re: Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
Unfortunately, still the same
Re: Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
Dopa,
After disabling all non-Microsoft shell extensions and restarting? Perhaps try disabling also non-context-menu ones.

Yes. I tried disabling everything. Nothing can be reactivated now
Re: Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
Dopa,
And Ctrl-C still crashes TC? Can you try 32-bit and 64-bit to see if both crash? Does right-click menu - Copy work? Does Configuration - Options - Copy/Delete - Use copy+paste via Explorer work?

Re: Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
32bit works great and fast.
64bit still crashes.
in the 64-bit version, after right-clicking, Total commander crashes.
32 bit is fine.
Using copy and paste through Explorer did not work in 64bit. Still crashes.
I will use 32bit, it works.
How do I re-enable everything in ShellExview? I want to enable it back

Dopa,
Did you use ShellExView for 32-bit or for 64-bit?

If 64-bit crashes and 32-bit doesn't, it's almost certainly a 64-bit shell extension. You probably just disabled 32-bit shell extensions with ShellExView. As Hacker suggests, make sure to use the 64-bit version of ShellExView.

I disabled in ShellExView 64bit.. Can't enable anything.
I tried 32bit. Nothing can be enabled either.
I select enable and nothing happens. It will remain disabled

Re: Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
I did a system restore - 4 days back.
I disabled the Dropbox ShellExtension. All it is almost ok
But when ctrl+c copying file/folder it takes 30+ seconds in Dropbox folder and subfolders. In other non-Dropbox folders, it's fast (1 sec)
Everything is fine in Total Commander 32bit. Fast.

Re: Pressing ctrl+c in Dropbox folder >> TC freezes and then crashes
Is there a "copy hook handler" installed from Dropbox? These would intercept the functions called when using Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V.
