Sudden change of height of the copy progress bar

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Sudden change of height of the copy progress bar

Post by *funkymonk »

TC11.00b1 x32 dark @ Win11

With ShowProgressBarSpeed=1 and NewStyleProgress=1:

When a copy process starts (i.e., the copy dialog has just opened) the overall progress bar has the same height as the other progress bar.
Once the overall progress bar is updated for the first time, it changes its height.

1. The "sudden" change of height of the progress bar is very weird to see.
2. Having two different but still very similar heights also looks a bit unintended.

With NewStyleProgress=0 it seems that the overall progress bar immediately starts with the increased height (no sudden change).

This is intentional. It looks ugly with the higher progress bar when no size information is available.

No, it only changes when the first size information is sent by the copy thread. I guess that you had some data in the cache, so 1% was reached quickly.
