[TC 11.00b6-x32] loss of focus of the entire application

Post by *AntonyD »

Hi!
So, as it was asked - from topic viewtopic.php?p=433946#p433946 I cut out a part of the description of the complex bug, which forms another one (simpler?) - a separate bug, relative to those described in that thread.
Bug concerns the new menu 'List of all tabs (Ctrl+Shift+A)'
Another manifestation of this bug is the fact that in 32-bit Total - only in it - if I call this menu and then press *, and then click outside the area of this menu - the click will "fall through" even outside of the main Total window, which is supposed to be figuratively under this menu at this time. And it activates the previously launched application that is already BELOW the Total window and whose working area of the window is in the focus of the mouse click. The same problem and with ALL_TABS new menu!

I can confirm this in 32bit TC 11.00b6 - but it is not the window under TC that get focus - it is the window that had focus before the TC window got focus, that get focus when I click in the TC window next to the Folder Tabs menu.

Also it is not only when * is pressed in the Folder Tabs list, it is whenever the Quick Search dialog is open.

It does not happen in TC 11.00b5, so might have to do with this fix:

Thanks, that helped me understand and find the problem. It was caused by this fix:
06.06.23 Fixed: Quick search in history: set history window as parent so we don't get a separate taskbar icon for the quick search window (64)
I set the parent of the quick search dialog to the history window also in 32-bit although it wasn't necessary, but this seems to trigger the problem in 32-bit: closing the quick search window by clicking outside should return the focus to the history, but it was disabled because it was the parent of quick search, so Windows refused to focus it and put the focus to the last active window.

I thought it could be that fix that caused it, but then I wasn't sure, because the bug in this Topic is about the Folder Tabs list, not about the Directory History list.

They both use the same window internally.
