Providing a Polish subforum

Post by *eltome »

ghisler(Author) wrote: ...If anyone is willing to be a moderator for a Polish subforum, I will gladly open it here on ghisler.ch .
Hey,
I'm new and program a little and I can create plugins for TC.

For this it would be useful to have a Polish subforum as a manual to allow others their versions or to do a tutorial in the wiki. Of course, I will take care of it according to the directions and lead for a while.

Thanks for your offer, but I can't just give a new user with no posting history moderator rights. What if you get bored after 2 weeks? The Polish forum would be abandoned and I wouldn't have any control of what would be posted there, because I can't read it.

OK, I understand. Besides, I meant new posts, without historical and if there was no co-moderator it would be to close as now.

I am glad that TC will be developed over the next years

Thanks for your offer! With two moderators we would be on the safe side.

What do the other moderators think? They wouldn't need to moderate the new forum, but it may cause extra troubles with forum spam.

Let's see how much spam come in really.
Would like to suggest to grant other mods modify rights to the special language sub-fora too for to help out now and then (vacations time?)

No problem. Please allow global moderators to moderate that forum as well.

Christian,
No problem, either, but personally I won't be following the forum (not even to check for spam).

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

I suspect that in most cases spam posts will be the only new messages in English. Spammers just don't care.

Thanks for your offer to help!

I have added the Polish forum now. Please post some forum rules in Polish, you can use Google translate and then edit them manually, e.g. by translating this post:
viewtopic.php?t=2

Please let me know if it doesn't work.

language of Poles returns ! provided that the third management confirms .

As a new user, don't ask me what to do about spam or other rule actions. But if I give some warning and there is no response until the next day, I will take appropriate action for the post .

Of course, what the administrator communicates in this forum is a priority for us and global moderators can be superior

There is a moderator forum where you can ask your questions in English language.

For now just take care on more strange URLs in posts and signatures from new users in your Polish sub forum which doesn't fit to our TC topics.

And that's a good advice, thanks

I just finished translating the forum rules and wanted to post them on the forum, but I can't start a new topic. Is something wrong?
Also - if an unregistered user tries to enter the forum, a login request appears.
