Copy selected file names in Synchronize dirs (to clipboard)

Post by *Helix751 »

A "Copy selected file/folder names to clipboard" in the "Synchronize directories" dialogue would help having these file/folder names for eg. documenting folder differences in a document, email or the like, better than making a screen capture of the Sync tool.

Currently all the options available do physically copy the files/folders from one side to the other, but this is not always the intended objective. I often use this tool just to spot, compare and document differences, without actually syncing any files at all.

Sergio

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Bummer! I had been looking for a context menu entry and gave up before trying this simple action and it actually works! Although it copies much more information I actually needed, it... well, works.
Thanks Roman.

Thanks Roman.

I'd add to the suggestion adding "Copy all details (Ctrl-C)" / "Copy file names only (Shift+Ctrl-C)" entries or the like to the context menu.

Sergio
