[TC 11.01] cm_Edit /N="" opens 15827 files

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[TC 11.01] cm_Edit /N="" opens 15827 files

Post by *white »

I have set Notepad++ as the external editor in TC.
When I execute
 cm_Edit /N=""
or
 cm_Edit /N=<>
on TC's command line, Notepad++ says:
Amount of files to open is tool large
15827 files are to be opened. Are you sure to open them?

Yes No

(it happens because TC passes the current folder as parameter to Notepad++)

I don't see any bug here, you chose to send an empty file name. Some people may even see this as a feature, so I will not change it.

Yeah very intuitive, open nothing to open everything
If you change it, people would still be able to send the current folder by specifying ".", wouldn't they? So the feature wouldn't be lost.
