"/t" does not work in Start Menu titles

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

"/t" does not work in Start Menu titles

Post by *Brat2 »

Does not process the "/t" tag at STARTMENU.
in normal Wcmd_eng.mnu handles the "/t" tag.
for example MENUITEM "My option/t[ALT+F4]...", 580
and this tag doesn't work in STARTMENU.

What should /t do? Maybe you mean tabstop \t ?

The Start Menu is not written the same way as the Main menu. The Start Menu is written in the [user] section of wincmd.ini and uses fields for the item title (menuX=) and for the command (cmdX=), you can only assign predefined shortcut keys to Start Menu items - they have to start with Ctrl+Alt or Crtl+Alt+Shift followed by an F-key. in wincmd.ini those shortcuts are stored with and index for example key1=index

The Start menu can be edited with the cm_ChangeStartMenu command.

There is no use for \t in the Start Menu

Indeed in the start menu the tabstop is used to separate the menu title from the assigned hotkey for that item.
