[TC 11.02] Sync dirs: Keyboard shortcuts for Show buttons don't work when editbox has focus

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[TC 11.02] Sync dirs: Keyboard shortcuts for Show buttons don't work when editbox has focus

Post by *white »

* Open Synchronize directories
* Press Shift+Tab twice so the editbox for the folder name at the right has focus
Now, normal access keys (Alt+character) and F2 do work, but keyboard shortcuts for the Show buttons (Ctrl+Shift plus L, E, N, R, D, or S) do not work.
(The keyboard shortcuts do work when the combobox in the middle has focus)

This is intentional:
29.08.23 Fixed: Synchronize dirs: Ctrl+Shift+L/E/N/R/D/S to toggle displayed result types wasn't working before comparing, and only in result list (now it works everywhere except in path edit boxes) (32/64)
They are being ignored in the edit boxes because they may be used for special key (text) input.

A line in HISTORY.TXT doesn't make that obvious. Perhaps you should add it to this line in the help:
(Help - Dialog box: Synchronize directories) wrote:The buttons can be toggled also by keyboard, with the combination of Ctrl+Shift plus L, E, N, R, D, and S.

Shouldn't this special key (text) input also be possible in the combo box in the middle then?

I will add a note to history.

The main problem with the path edit fields is auto-complete, which opens when you press one of these hotkeys. There is no auto-complete in the middle box.
