Preserve the "Total file storage"-view if directories are changed

I make regular use of Alt-Shift-Enter to see the total file space in/under each directory. I then feel I am in a different mode, where TC uderstands that I want to see the total space of each directory.
It would be marvellous if this mode could be preserved as I change to different directories, higher or lower in the directory tree without having to repeat the Alt-Shift-Enter process.
If there is already a way of achieving this, I have not discovered it, and I apologise. If not, I earnestly request an enhancement.

The best way is to use Everything together with TC.
Then you always have the actual dir size entries.

That's done by a relatively new option in
Configuration - Options - Display - Calculate space occupied by subdirectories - Combobox below "Everything" checkbox.
I recommend that you only use this together with the "Everything" tool. You will have to enable directory size indexing in Everything to make this work.

No, use this instead: ... Configuration - Options - Operation - Calculate space occupied by subdirectories ...
