Command Line's undesired beeping sound (only with AutoComplete=0 and 11.x x32)

Post by *byblo »

Command line's producing an undesired and unexpected beeping windows system sound at escaping the focus.

Tested versions list:
--------------------
TC 10.52 x32 (ok)
TC 11.00 x32 (bug)
TC 11.02 x32 (bug)
TC 11.02 x64 (ok)
TC 11.03 x32 RC2 (bug)
TC 11.03 x32 RC3 (bug)
TC 11.03 x64 RC3 (ok)

Steps to reproduce the bug:
----------------------
1. Edit ini file and change or add AutoComplete=0 at [Configuration] section. EDIT: Also is required: CtrlArrow=0 at [Configuration] section (see following post from petermad)
(1b) Or change them at the options, but then it is mandatory to restart TC to make the bug happening.
2. (re)start TC.
3. Press CTRL+DOWN keys to get the Command Line's focus.
4. Press the ESCAPE key, then it should produce an undesired beeping windows sound.

At first I could not reproduce this with my working .ini file, only with a clean ini file (apart from AutoComplete=0).

I found out that there is another prerequisite: CtrlArrow=0 - If CtrlArrow=1 there is no beep

Nice find.

It even seems to prevent the following bug reported few time ago : viewtopic.php?t=80908 (Commandline's Autocomplete activating despite AutoComplete=0 in inifile)
