How to disable remember last audio playback position?

Post by *ad2048 »

How to stop remembering playback position?

Also there is another question, when the audio queue ends, the notifications of the player stays active and device indicating that there is one app active in the background (which is TC). Is it true that TC is active even when audio ends and consumes battery? Or it's just saying that because the notification is staying but there is actually no battery consuming? Wouldn't it be better closing it automatically after the queue ends with some time? like after 10 minutes for example?
Thank you.

Currently both pausing a track and reaching the end of all tracks keeps the notification open, so you can resume/restart playing from the lock screen or the notification area. There is an 'x' button in the notification to close it.

Thank you for your respond. I see your point of view and I respect it.
But what about remembering playback position?
Here is my situation:
1. In the morning, I play an audio file (15 min) and check (Repeat all).
2. After a while, I press 'x' button to exit the player, and this usually done in the middle of the audio.
3. In the evening, I play another audio file and also add to the queue the other audio (which I played it in the morning).
4. Once the first audio ends and the player moves to the next audio, it plays it from the last playback position -from the middle- (which was in the morning).

I need (if possible) to stop this behavior and the audio files should play from the beginning each time I play it. Is there a way?
Thank you

1. Open the Total Commander home folder
2. Go to directory /
3. From there go to /data/data/com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander/files
4. Delete the file named LastPosition
5. Create a new directory named LastPosotion (note the uppercase L and P)

This prevents Total Commander from storing and reading the last position of any tracks.

Edit: Typo corrected.
