Moving the files to a another hard drive solved the problem so. It's not a bug

This is too little information. How did you try to achieve your goal? How do your filenames look like?

Code: Select all

Rename mask: [N]
Search for: ((\b|_)\S)
Replace with: \U$1
☑ RegEx
Result:
Old name: test-test_test.test;test,test&test%test$test#test@test^test(test)test=test+test`test~test!test test.txt
New name: Test-Test_Test.Test;Test,Test&Test%Test$Test#Test@Test^Test(Test)Test=Test+Test`Test~Test!Test Test.txt

Why using a regex for this simple job ?
There are the Upper/lowercase options in the MRT.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3527)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1373a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.3, Listary Pro 6.3.0.73
QAP 11.6.3.2 x64

This is what I am trying to do. The results are none.

I have used this tool often and I use the Upper/lowercase option

It's shows you how the outcome will be. But it does not change accordingly
It's still unchanged

1. Does any other replacement work?
2. TC x32 or x64?

That is, MRT doesn't work in this folder at all? Maybe there are access problems?
Does Shift+F6 in the file panel give the result in the same folder?

I am not trying to offend you, but since you don't describe exactly what you do, I have to ask the obvious question: did you press the "Start!" button?

If you did - does it work if you set the Upper/lowercase option to "Unchanged" and instead use the filename mask: [F][N][n]

 Yes of course I did.

One would expect TC to show an error if a renaming operation fails, even if the error is shown only in the "New name" column. Isn't this the case for you?

No the Renlog shows it as it was changed.
