Silent uninstall (6.53)

Post by *cace »

Hi!

Are there any swithces for tcuninst.exe to perform silent uninstall? Or just the normal, delete folder and registry entries?

And no, I'm not abandoning Total Commander. Just want to make everything allways silent... : 8)

Yes there is! The parameters are:
/r repair
/0../7 uninstall, value is sum of:
1: remove desktop icon
2: remove start menu entries
4: remove also settings files (ini files)

Example: tcuninst.exe /3
would remove the program and all links, but not the user settings.

F1 (Help) -> Search tab - search for: uninstall -> double-click on "What's new in this version?" -> search (Ctrl + F) in text: uninstall
TC-Help: wrote:New functions and fixes in Total Commander 6.54:
- Command line parameters for uninstaller tcuninst.exe for silent uninstall: /r repair, /0../7 uninstall.
Sum of: 1=desktop icon, 2=start menu entries, 4=all settings files
