Total Commander

I am at a loss. I checked this forum, checked and compared settings and permissions, but no success.
The issue is with a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (android 14). Tested also with a Tab with android 11 and a phone with android 14.
Only WiFi plugin v4.4 and also when started from TC 3.50d.

WiFi plugin transfers between android 11 tab and phone successful in both directions.
Transfer from S9 to phone works.
Transfer from phone to S9 does not. The QR produced by the phone is visible in the plugin at the S9 but nothing happens. The QR is not picked up.

Any idea how to fix this?

What happens when you type in the displayed URL manually?

Then I get a text kind of page which shows, among other information, the file selected like a link.

This is what happens when you enter the URL in a browser. Clicking on the link will download the file.

Maybe you scanned the QR code with the photos app and not my the wifi transfer app?

I did it "zillion" times with the other devices. In TC on the receiving device I select the WiFi tranfer icon (1.44Mb disk wih WiFi rays), then I point to the QR on the other (sending) device. Only on the S9 after having the QR in the viewfinder nothing happens. I checked the permision of the plugin on the phone and the S9: both the same.

It could be a contrast problem: Some screens mirror the environment a lot, which makes it hard to read the QR code. Sometimes it helps to tilt the screen a bit.

I tried in the evening already and from my three devices only the S9 does not work under the same conditions. Lets asume that from my three devices the android 11 tab is the sender. My android 14 phone picks up the code, the S9 does not.
In the mean time I tried all plugin versions starting at 3.5. Same issue. I tried a different camera app but apparently the plugin uses the camera directly. The stock version is the same between the android 14 devices.
Now I cannot use the plugin I know how much I rely on it...

There is one more thing you could try: Click on the green overlay icon, it switches between main and selfie cameras. Maybe you have more luck with the other camera.

Genius! The one thing I did not try. The S9 has 2 selfie cams/modes. Cam 1 is main (no go), cam 2 is kind of awkward. I scan and the plugin seems to freeze. Pushing the icon again brings up the file "on the other side". Cam 3 works as expected, so cam 3 it is. Thanks again for your support.
