Sometimes keys stop acting normally

Hi,

I sometimes have this strange behavior : some keys stop acting normally and produce actions not the usual way.
I have very few hints about what happens.
It already occured with TotalCommander 10.x
And as soon a key stop wotking normally, it concerns Windows globally, not only inside TC.

Today, the key impacted was the lower left Windows key (the third starting from the left, with Windows logo).
When hitting this key, the start menu normally pops up.
When the problem occured, the key did nothing, like a dead key.
I tried removing the standard keyboard driver without success.
Knowing that i already had troubles with TC from times to times, i tried to exit TC : instantly, the key was working again.
Generally, another key is impacted : TAB key, same workaround, restart TC.

I'm very sorry, but I have no log, no screenshot to produce, no exceptions to submit.
The laptop i work on i a DELL latitude, and it is the second laptop on which the problem occurs (this one is a new one and not the same reference).
I have the problem on my personal laptop too, from times to times.
No matter Windows platform : our I.T. service migrated our laptops from 10 to 11 some months ago, with the same behavior)
As said, frequency is rare / from times to times.

Does anyone encounter this bug ?

I have never encountered anything like that,

Maybe it is your configuration - could you maybe shows us the content of these two sections (if you have them) of your wincmd.ini file:
[Shortcuts]
[ShortcutsWin]

You can open wincmd.ini in notepad via the menu: Configuration -> Change Settings Files Directly

Maybe another key is getting stuck, and Win+that key doesn't have anything assigned to it?

Hi

thanks for your answers

2petermad : i opened wincmld.ini, and searched for the entries you mentioned, and i have none of them.

2ghisler(Author) : maybe i misinterpret what you suggest, but it occurs from time to time, on an Asus Vivobook laptop, as well as on two different kind of Dell Latitude laptops, the last two accompanied by a separated keyboard, which i do not always use.

is there anything i can do to help find what happens (log file ?) ?

Dell laptops are work computers with their specific tools
But Asus Vivobook is my personal laptop with no specific GPOs or firewalls, and other restrictions
