In version 11.57b2, the following change was made:

09.08.23 Added: cm_Edit: Parameter /N now supports alternate syntax /N=<"file1.txt" "file2.txt" "file3.txt"> to pass multiple names to the function more easily (32/64)

Perhaps this was caused by a search and replace operation done too many times. If it was done intentionally, the information in the Help should be adjusted too in multiple places.

Confirmed, it should actually be /N=<"file1.txt" "file2.txt" "file3.txt">, the vertical lines are only used in cm_MkDir.
