Unexpected Behavior During File Comparison

Hello.
I’ve found this to be an issue from time to time, but I’m only reporting it now.

Occasionally, the “Compare by Content” feature shows identical content as being different.
When I compare the two files uploaded via the link, it indicates that the content differs at the location shown in the screenshot, even though the content at that location matches exactly at the binary level.

Thanks for your report, I can reproduce it. It only seems to happen when one side is shown as ANSI (plain text) and the other as UTF-8, because only one of the file contains UTF-8 characters (Korean comment). As a workaround, set both sides to UTF-8 manually and recompare.

I will check in the debugger what's going wrong here.

This should be fixed in Total Commander 11.57a RC1, please check!

12.05.26 Fixed: Compare by content: Two lines were incorrectly identified as different when two almost identical lines occurred in the same file, differing by a tab character instead of a space in one position, e.g. <Tab>a and <Space>a (32/64)
