Set Upper/Lowercase to unchanged and set the Extension to

Code: Select all

[L][E]
[L] means all characters after this mark should be converted to lowercase. Find information more in the help file.

Use the multi-rename tool with the [L] placeholder before the [E] placeholder.
The relevant part of the help:

Code: Select all

[U] All characters after this position in uppercase
[L] All characters after this position in lowercase
[F] First letter of each word uppercase after this position, all others lowercase
[f] Like [F], but using rules for English in titles (certain words like a, in, the, ... lowercase)
[n] All characters after this position again as in original name (upper/lowercase unchanged)

I didn't notice that the thread was that old. Why did Christo comment? Is it a spam account?

Select all the file you want to rename, launch Multi-Rename Tools (usually ^M) or in files menu.
To convert extension to lowercase, you just have to replace [E] by [L][E] in the extension field of multi-rename and click [Start !].

On my drives with exFAT file system it doesn't work. Extension stays unchanged. Is it bug or known limitation of exFAT?

Works perfectly here on exFAT drives. No known bug or limitation.

Windows 10 21H2. Tried on the 2 different drives with no result. The same renaming ation works good on the ntfs drives here.
