At this time of the year, it seems obvious to ask if the synchronize directories function can be made daylight savings time aware? I'm not sure how it would work, but it's really annoying when massive numbers of unmodified files have to be copied just because of one hour's difference.

You need to check the option to ignore a difference of exactly one hour in TC's configuration.
