Panel refresh && network drives and folders.

Post by *jaycee »

Hi

I have seen a lot of threads about this, but none was exactly about what I am looking for ( well, I might missed it ) ....
This is about the pannel auto-refresh. Panels are refreshed by 3 way.
- F2
- automaticaly, when user switch app and come back to totcmd
- automaticaly, ... i forgot the last one.

The thing is with the network drives, mapped (x:) or not (\\).When switching back to total commander, TC updates the file list. and on those drives, it takes months to be updated, and sometimes, if network is down, we need to wait for the timeout.

Is it possible to desactive ALL auto-refresh file list on network drive and folder ? end-user would have to *explicitly* press f2 to refresh the list.

I wait for this timeout everyday, and I cannot anymore ...

Example: I don't want auto-redresh on S:-T:-U:-V: and \\* ?

Thanks for support,

Jaycee.

btw, I am against F2 as rename ;) I know, it's OT, but I saw it during my search of autorefresh ...

Hi,

to deactivate automatic refresh on directory changes set:

Code: Select all

WatchDirsExclude=STUV\
In addition for the "come back refresh" set

Code: Select all

Noreread=STUV\
