Questions about a few commands

Post by *Xyzzy »

Hello!

Do you know how to call directly from OS dialogs accessible with cm_EditPermissionInfo, cm_EditAuditInfo, and cm_EditOwnerInfo?

TIA.

You probably know that you can only access those dialogs for NTFS folder.
Then if you open the properties dilaog there should be a tab Security where you can access part of the rights, the rest you get with the extended button(in this Tab).

If this Tab is not available you have to disable in Explorer Extra ->Ordneroptionen: Tab Ansicht: "einfache Dateifreigabe verwenden (empfohlen)" which is translated Extra -> Folder Options: Tab View: "use simple share of files (proposed)"

If you find this you may write here the correct english indication.

I know they can be used only for NTFS. But the options you write about are only accessible in XP Pro version.

XP Home, which restricts access to file permissions.

Just send me a mail and tell me if you can read german. If not I'll have to translate an interesting article for you.
