Would you mind to add another column which uses only one letter or several letters to indicate the information?
I mean, for example, A=ANSI, U=Unicode, P=Partial Unicode, X=Invalid.

You can define substrings in the custom column configuration, e.g.:

[=unicodetest.Locked test:1]
[=unicodetest.Unicode test:1]
Returns only the first character from the result (usefull especially for "Yes" / "No" results)

In general:
[=pluginname.fieldname.unit:firstchar-lastchar]

Yes, there are two occurrences of those string. I replaced both and it seems fine.

Wow! Great tip! I don't think this was mentioned on wiki or official help. Thank you.

I did not know this by myself. But I could not believe that @ghisler missed to document it in the help. And I was right. ;)

Hi,

I have added a log option to Unlocker.

Regarding the usage of a DLL, I do not understand what
it will change.

You are using a Pull usage pattern, whether this is
done by a log or a DLL does not change anything.

The log I provide, gives several indications: path
locked, process name and path, handle number and
process ID.

Regards,

Cedrick

DLL is better then log option:
I cannot redistribute Unlocker.exe, but I hope I can redistribute DLL.

Yup, but consider the fact for now that Unlocker is going to be used with your plugin - something got to unloke'em :lol: ...
You can make this optional.... like... [x] Use Unlocker to obtain application names ..... that is cool

ok...concentrate yourself on unicode part of the plugin.
I'll let you know if I come up with something...

One small request, can you change the link for the archive where your plugin is located (first post in this thread) so that it has version number in it's name and/or somewhere in the body of the post?
e.g. wdx_UnicodeTest_1.0.1.zip.

Thanks

Sorry, but it's hard for me to correct filename (and download link) on every version update.

I can relate to that.
How about just add version info in the first post? Anything that clearly states the version of the plugin besides downloading plugin.

That would be 20s top of work... It is much easier to see if one has the latest version this way.

I cannot edit first post, I need to contact moderator for that. Maybe it's better to look at http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/UnicodeTest.html ?

Strange... This seams like a bug in the board? I think there was some mention on the forum about that problem.

The link is also OK. Thanks.

Here is the Dutch translation for your plugin:

Code: Select all

; Roland Dalmulder <rdalmulder@hotmail.com>
[Dut]
Unicode test=Unicode test
Locked test=In gebruik test
ANSI|Partial Unicode|Pure Unicode|Invalid=ANSI|Gedeeltelijk Unicode|Volledig Unicode|Ongeldig
Access|Locked|Not found=Toegang|In gebruik|Niet gevonden
I have not been able to test it though since I don't get Dutch to display. Even when I change TC language to Dutch. Does it depend on the OS?

Regards,

Roland
