[T.com 6.54 bp 2 Bug] MRT doesn't handle descriptions

Post by *St. Wolf »

MRT in T.com 6.54 renaming files doesn't update description.ini
In T.com 6.53 all OK.

P.S. Thanks for fixing bug with "?" in MRT of 6.54.

It works for me.
Have you got checked the option: Configuration -> Operation -> File comments -> Copy comments with files ?

Is it description.ini file or descript.ion?

And have you in Configuration -> Operation -> File comments -> set the correct "file type" or "Read from both"?

description.ini
First, do you mean descript.ion? The above file name is not supported.

Second, there was a fix in TC 6.54 pubbeta2 to update descript.ion even in second o3 third rename step (when using the reload button). Since this change happens AFTER renaming, it would not affect the first rename step.

Therefore can you give me more information about the problem?

- Yes

- Ctrl+M on any file - (history.txt in T.com dir), type anything in Name field, Enter, ESC. Look in descript.ion in T.com dir -> nothing changed (HISTORY.TXT blah-blah)

So Sheepdog's suggestion fixed it? Fine! Explanation: If this option isn't on, comment files are simply ignored and treated like normal files.
