Here is a list of known issues (problems) with Lister plugins, when they are used under Universal Viewer (ATViewer) application.

AmpView (3.2):

  • Generally, AmpView usage is not recommended with Viewer, because plugin completely hides Viewer interface, leaving only plugin window on screen, so you cannot access Viewer commands anymore.
  • Additionally, plugin moves Viewer window out of screen, so after Viewer restart window position will be reset.

AnyTag (0.93):

  • Issue under Windows Vista: if plugin was used once, then on Viewer closing you'll see Windows message box (translated from Russian): "Application has been terminated ... There was a problem that caused the application to terminate ..."

ArcView (1.2.0.28):

  • After plugin closing (swithing to another plugin or internal viewer) it makes Viewer window invisible.

DBF-View (CDBFView.wlx) (1.1)
This plugin is currently not supported, sorry. It requires support of rarely-used Lister API function, which is currently not implemented in ATViewer base component. Suggestion: use BaseView and xBaseView plugins instead, they are both more functional than DBF-View.

FileView (2.0 alpha):

  • Viewer window changes to zero height, so that just the caption bar remains.

FlashView (1.4):

  • On some SWF files: Viewer may crash on exit.

IEView:

  • Generally, it's not recommended, because Viewer already has built-in MSIE-based viewer.
  • It's not too stable, so sometimes it shows crashes or exceptions, e.g. after reloading plugin.

MMedia (2.4.4.0):

  • It conflicts with internal WMP viewer: after plugin using internal viewer opens Windows Media Player in new window.
  • It's not stable, sometimes it shows exceptions on opening.
  • WMV files may block Viewer.

SGViewer (1.8.8):
Note: these issues are fixed in SGViewer 1.9.

  • Full Screen menu item is grayed. Plugin can start fullscreen if you set so in options but you can't return from it.
  • Fit to Screen option doesn't work. It works only when Set To Fit mode is set.

SWF Lister (2.0.0.1):

  • On some SWF files: after playing file, plugin disables closing of Viewer window, so that only Ctrl-Alt-Del can close window.

xBaseView (7.2.0661):

  • Note that xBaseView doesn't work under Viewer versions older than 1.5.2.
  • Issue with newer Viewer versions: xBaseView modifies the Viewer main menu, but doesn't restore it correctly on close, so that some menu items become renamed.
