I talked today to Loc2262. He has a fulltime job and he is making a diplome at uni. He said that when he gets some free time he will be back at his project. He said he quited developing on this project because of lack support in beta testers and donations. Do not let this happen again this time.

Did you read this Posting?
Nothing more to say, imho. I totally agree with this statement.

ack support in beta testers
I had written to him several times (when there was still a little development going on with the plugin) to become a beta-tester and translator - without any reaction - so it goes both ways :evil:

Well complaining about his mistakes isn't going to bring the program back to work. If we help him, it will.

"Help" to help…

Post by *Clo »

2petermad

:) Hello Peter !

• Ten months ago, Paul Vansumsen and I asked for translate the Help in French: No reply…
- However, we did even so, and the folder is available for the users.
- Not any feed-back from the author, though…
- We made too an improved alternative translation which matches the French Help.
- Hence, one can say that we tried to help. Paul tested, because I have not any burner here in my own PCs…
- It's also a way to help that good plugin, I can't send money…

I am still hoping for a miracle...

What about writing a new CD/DVD recording plugin using the Image Mastering API? I'd got that in mind, but I didn't have the time to do it.

Maybe someone will take the job. If you ask me the fact that TC doesn't have a good working burner is very strange if we compare it to how many people use this program and how useful it is to burn cd/dvd in one drag of files.

for imapiv1 (windows XP) you are right

For Vista and ImapiV2 MS advert that :
......................................

IMAPI supports the following formats. For more details, see Disc Formats.

* ISO9660 image format (includes Redbook Audio).
* Joliet format.
* Universal Disk Format (UDF).

IMAPI supports the following media devices.

* Recordable CD (CD-R). Formerly known as CD Write Once.
* Rewritable CD (CD-RW)
* Recordable DVD (DVD-R and DVD+R).
* Rewritable DVD (DVD-RW and DVD+RW).
* Random-access DVD (DVD-RAM).
* Recordable dual layer DVD (in DVD-R and DVD+R formats).
* Writes to other disc-like media.

IMAPI provides the following capabilities:

* Creates and burns single-session and multi-session discs.
* Creates and burns bootable discs.
* Provides low-level access to the burn engine for developing support for new devices.
* Provides access to extended recorder properties for developing support for new devices.
