Freeze after FTP reconnect

Post by *Nop »

Total Commander 7.0 just froze during FTP operation.

1. Used FTP Up- and download
2. Was working locally for a while and obviously got disconnected due to timeout
3. Marked a few files in the remote directory for download and started the download
4. TC download dialog appears and TC tries to reestablish the connection.
5. I can see user and PW scrolling by, last message in dialog and log window is "Connection ok!"
6. No download, TC is totally frozen and must be killed with taks manager

6. No download,
That is how it is currently implemented.

TC says smth. like "Connection lost, do you want to reconnect ?" and just reconnects ... no less, no more.

This means NO upload/download, even if you told to do.

You have to mark the files again and try again to up/download. (This time the connection is already established)

I don't think that
TC is totally frozen and must be killed with taks manager
is implemented on purpose ;-)

Unfortunately, you cut the most important part from your quote. :-)

After TC shows "Connection ok" it freezes. It does not accept any more input and must be killed and restarted.

2Nop: Sorry to cut your text, but I do a lot of FTP with TC. Sometimes the connection is lost, but I never had a crash like this.
I assumed that it just "looks like" TC does nothing ... obviously I assumed wrong

Just to make sure : you had the crash with TC 7.0 or 7.01 ?
With 7.01 there are some more FTP bugs fixed ...

Exactly this bug was fixed in TC 7.01. So if you use TC 7.0, please update and try again!

Have you tried this with TC 7.01 as I suggested?
