cm_toggle100percent

Post by *.el3o4l »

There are more and more file information to display and the thumnails need a lot of space. Therefore a command

Code: Select all

cm_toggle100percent
would be great resize the active panel to 100% and change it back. The existing

Code: Select all

cm_50percent
could be also used to change the view back to
normal
.

In addition, my suggestion would be to have internal commands for the different separator widths that are shown when right clicking the separator, plus two new commands for 0/100 percent:

Code: Select all

cm_set0percent
cm_set20percent
cm_set40percent
...
cm_set80percent
cm_set100percent
This would make it easy to set the separator position with hotkeys. This has IMO no high priotity, but shouldn't be hard to implement I think. In addition that would make the AutoIt-workaround I currently use myself obsolete :)

May I point you to this AutoHotkey script?

That enables you to popup the Splitter menu with one hotkey (Ctrl-G in this case) and select between 20/80 to 80/20 percent by another key (2-8).

Neverthless I support this request.

Support too!

Hi, Mr. Ghisler, have this request been added to the todo list?

I know Control/Shift + Mouse_Move can do, but I like to use keyboard.

Yes, it's on my wish list. However, a true single panel mode like in the PocketPC version would be far better, so I'm considering cm_singlepanel command instead.

I fully agree but which of the previously displayed panels would be shielded?

Why not give users the flexibility of choosing 80%, 70%, etc?
Sometimes I need to widen left panel to locate very long filename, then do some copy/move to right panel, so it'd be better right panel is visible.

Thank you, but I'll need more than cm_singlepanel. Sometimes I need to show 70%, 60, sometimes 0%.

A new internal command with parameter support, like cm_setpercent xx(0~100) will be optimal

SUPPORT+++ request to be able to switch from small panels to big panels.

Good Old Norton Commander had a simple command (don't remember exactly, now...) like C+F1 to toggle left panel only / both panels, and C+F2 did the same for the right panel.

A togglable command would be handy, in order for one to use less commands and do 2 things.

Still, there are 9 numbers on the numeric keypad still to use....

Well, then my suggestion is to have the following commands added:

cm_100percent
cm_decrease10percent
cm_increase10percent

Very needed, IMHO.
